I’ve been a book editor for 40 years so bring an enormous amount of experience to my work. Back in the 1970s and 1980s I worked at Methuen as an editor commissioning popular non-fiction titles such as cookery, gardening, mind-body-spirit, travel, biography and humour.
When I had my children, I began working freelance and have worked for many major London publishing houses, including Hodder, Headline, Simon & Schuster, Little Brown and Constable. For 11 years I worked part-time in-house as a reader at Hodder & Stoughton where I learned to quickly assess the commercial potential of a wide range of titles. I continue to read, edit and proofread for publishers and work on a broad range of books, both fiction and non-fiction.
I enjoy working on general fiction, women’s fiction, historical novels, thrillers and crime. In non-fiction work, I have a particular interest in cookery, travel and mind-body-spirit.
I also write a food & travel blog, so please take a look: Travel Gourmet.
